GJ100RSGB in the log

Having learned the lesson the hard way last year, with the Worked All Britain “Follow The Torch” award, I’d not made any attempt to chase the RSGB Centenary Award – as a 10W operator, I stood little chance against the QRO stations.

However, as I set out for lunch today, the radio powered-up on 7.160 (the usual W.A.B. net frequency) to find GJ100RSGB struggling with the noise… amazingly enough, one call of Mike Six Alpha Delta Bravo Stroke Mobile was enough to get the attention of operator Steve, and with a little bit of a struggle, GJ100RSGB was in the log.

Thanks Steve – and hope conditions improve for you!
