70th Anniversary of Operation Market Garden

On 17th September 1944, over 20,000 paratroops and a further 14½-thousand glider-borne troops landed in southern Netherlands as part of Operation Market Garden – the results being better known as “A Bridge Too Far”.

The 70th anniversary is being marked by radio amateurs in Britain and in the Netherlands.

I’m pleased to be able to support these Special Event Stations, and have worked the following (so far):

70th OMG
Station Band/Mode
GB70BTF 40m/SSB, 40m/RTTY
GBADU 40m/SSB, 40m/PSK31

PH70MG 40m/SSB

My thanks to all involved in activating these stations.
