2016 – My Amateur Radio Goals

As the New Year roles in, it is appropriate to look forward, and set some Goals to aim for, and some further Aspirations (the “nice to do”).

Worked All Britain

  • As An Activator
    • Goals
      1. My main activation Goal for the year is (once again) to complete the Activated SU Decade on 40m… this would be my Sapphire level!
      2. For the Coastal Award, achieve the Gold Award (60 points – currently on 43 points)
    •  Aspirations
      1. Aim to activate 300 small squares
      2. Aim to activate 50 new small squares, with a longer term target of achieving the WABEMA Platinum Award (750 squares – currently on 610)
      3. Aim to activate 2 new large squares (currently 18 activated) with a longer term target of achieving the Class III Large Squares Award for Activating!
      4. Aim towards eventually achieving the Coastal Diamond Trophy (100 points – currently on 43 points)
  • As A Hunter
    • Goals
      1. Complete the Decade on 40m… this would be my Platinum level.
      2. For the Coastal Award, achieve the Gold Award (200 points – currently on 113 points)
    • Aspirations
      1. For the Cornish Award, achieve the 400 points required to gain the Trophy
      2. For the Coastal Award, achieve the 350 points required to gain the Trophy (currently on 113 points)
      3. For the Squares Award, achieve the Sapphire Award (1,800 squares – currently on 1,519)
      4. Listen out for stations operating from Alderney (WA), Foula (HT), (HW), (HX) and Fair Isle (HZ) to complete the Large Squares Premier Award.

      2. Achieve quorum on three of the six activated references that are currently below quorum
      3. Achieve WWFF-A-66 (currently 60/66)
      4. Achieve the 200 QSO quorum of six further references (currently 24) to achieve YOFF-A-30 (Expert Class 1C2)
    •  Aspirations
      1. Achieve WWFF-A-77 (currently 60/66)
      2. Achieve YOFF-A-40 (currently 24)
